As a counsellor, teacher, coach, spouse, parent, and step-parent, Claudia brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her practice. She can empathize with your concerns and work with you to support you through your journey.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education (University of Victoria), a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University), and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BCACC
Although Claudia uses a range of methodologies to ensure they properly fit her clients needs, she primarily works from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).
She has worked with youth and families over the past 18 years in a range of settings. This has lead her to not only be passionate about mental health but also to advocate for those who cannot.
Claudia is calm, compassionate, caring, and methodical. Together, you will determine what goals you would like to achieve in counselling and collaboratively create a plan that fits your needs.

Cedar Cove Counselling offers a variety of counselling services including individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and workshops (coming soon!)
During your first session with Cedar Cove Counselling, your therapist will ask you questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to counselling. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process.
A counselling session with Cedar Cove Counselling typically lasts for 50 minutes, although session length may vary depending on your specific needs and preferences.
Unfortunately, we do not. We do provide clients with a detailed receipt which they can use to submit for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to ensure they cover Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC).
